Coyotes Receive Six First-Place Votes in Summit League Coaches Poll

Vermillion, S.D. – The South Dakota Coyotes were picked to finish fifth in the Summit League preseason coaches poll, the league announced on Tuesday.

The Coyotes received six first-place votes and 58 total points in the poll. North Dakota State was picked to win the league with 70 points and nine first-place votes, followed by South Dakota State with 66 points and one first-place vote. Denver and Omaha were picked to finish third and fourth, respectively.

South Dakota is coming off a 20-11 season in which they finished fourth in the Summit League with a 12-6 record. The Coyotes return three starters from that team, including senior guard Chloe Lamb.
